Terms of Service

Effective April 19, 2026

These terms apply when you use Lumo Cards(the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Who can use the Service

The Service is intended for parents and caregivers using it with children. Accounts must be created by someone 18 years or older. Children use the Service under adult supervision.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password private. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and refunds

  • Web (Stripe): Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. A 7-day free trial may be offered — if you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged.
  • Mobile (App Store / Play): Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, respectively. Cancel through their subscription settings. Their terms apply to billing, renewals, and refunds.
  • Refunds:We generally do not offer refunds after a charge, but if something has clearly gone wrong, email us and we'll try to make it right.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the flashcard decks, prompts, and names you create. You grant us a non-exclusive license to store and display that content so the Service can work (e.g., syncing your decks across your devices, or publishing a deck to the community feed if you choose to share it).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful to children.
  • Enter prompts designed to produce sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise unsafe imagery.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. For serious violations we may do so without notice.

6. AI-generated content

Generated images are produced by a third-party AI model. Outputs vary and may contain mistakes. We filter prompts and outputs for safety, but we cannot guarantee every image is perfect — please review images before showing them to children.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change features, limits, or pricing. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Malaysia, unless a mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.

12. Changes

If we update these terms, we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice.
